Re-tagged music still showing as old artist

I wanted to changed the artist name for an album. I deleted(and to trash) the album in Vox. I cleared the casche. I moved the music to a new folder and renamed using tagging software(MusicBrainz). I signed into Loop for Vox, re-uploaded the album and....it STILL lists the original artist.

When i open the files in Itunes, it lists the new artist name. When I request info on the file it lists the new artist name. It is only in Vox that it shows the old artist name. Any ideas???

    Hi there,
    Thanks for using our app!
I can't tell how "MusicBrainz" works, newer used one, but You can send us a sample file, and we'll examine and show You its meta tags.
Also, You can use kid3 free app for that purposes. So far it worked great with meta tags.

Ok, so here is an example. Everything on my computer tells me that the
artist for this file is now GD-Studio but when i upload it to Vox it is
    still Grateful Dead.

I found kid3 a little confusing, but I am very good with instructions. Do
you have a link or something I can follow with how to retag in kid3.

Thanks for your help, i really appreciate it.

Thanks for a sample file. It has correct tags.
Let's try this: 1.Log Out and Log In again to LOOP
    2. Delete: Grateful Dead in LOOP wait few seconds and upload album with GD-Studio tags again.

Please let me know how it goes.

I already did that. A few times. When I upload the new file it uploads
very fast like it wasn't really deleted but I used 'delete and send to
trash'. Are there any more steps to make sure it is really truly deleted?

"1.Log Out and Log In again to LOOP" - if You took this step it should work. Fast upload it's correct behavior. Files will not completely reupload , only the bytes that were changed from the last time. Can You please take a screenshot of 'delete and send to trash' option? I can't find any in VOX...

As you can see in the this screenshot Loop lists the names correctly however the Vox app still lists the original artist. I just deleted this and re-uploaded, i signed out and signed back in.

    Thank You for information.
    Please try this:
    1. Log Out from LOOP
    2. Press COMMAND+SHIFT+G in Finder, paste this path and hit Enter:
~/Library/Containers/com.coppertino.VOXCloud/Data/Library/Application Support/Loop/ 3. Remove all files from the directory (if there is any) and Log In again to LOOP

Let me know if it solves the problem.

Got home from work today and it was in the right place in Vox under the name that I want it . But i have no idea what I did to make it work and when I tried to upload the next album I had the same problem. Screenshot is what I see when I copy that in to the Finder, don't think i am supposed to delete any of that...??

Yes. Log Out first and then remove all files in that folder (They must automatically remove during the Logging out, but let's remove them manually).
Then Log In, remove the incorrect album from LOOP and upload again.

Now all of my music is gone!

Loop website still says I have 1006 albums uploaded but Vox app only show 5, albums still show up on iphone, just not in Mac app.

And when I upload a new album nothing happens, it isn't noticed by the app.

However on the phone it is still uploading as the wrong name.

It means, that You have done something wrong.
    1. Log Out from LOOP.
    2. Quit the VOX app completely. You can also quit LOOP via menubar icon.
    3. Remove all files form that folder.
    4. Start VOX app
    5. Log In to LOOP
    6. Remove incorrect albums from LOOP and upload again after a few seconds.

    Looking forward to Your reply!

That is exactly what I did. The only result is that I now don't have
access to all of my music. Vox took about 40 minutes to upload everything
when it was opened but when it was done there were only 5 albums
    available. Where is the rest?

You are right. I just checked and my music also disappeared....
Please take this steps again and empty trash after the step #3
Mac somehow uses deleted files from trash...

I did empty the trash when I went through the process. Is there a way to
get the music back in the app? Even the album I uploaded this morning after
    following the instructions isn't there.

Also, will all music disappear every time I do this?

I still have not been abel to access any of my music that i uploaded to the cloud on the my Vox app on my computer. The 5 albums it is showing are what is in my Music folder on my computer. How do I get it to show my uploaded music again. I have signed out an signed in. I have launched the app from the Loop website. I even re downloaded Vox new. No dice.

    1. Go to VOX preferences and UNcheck the checkbox (screenshot attached) . You can check it back later.
    2. Log Out from LOOP.
    3. Quit the VOX app completely. You can also quit LOOP via menubar icon.
    4. Remove all files from that folder.
    5. EMPTY TRASH!
    6. Start VOX app
    7. Log In to LOOP

ReInstall will not help. Please take this steps again carefully and it will work again like a charm.

That worked to get everything back to normal. But the album is still
uploaded as the wrong artist name. Any ideas, or you think this is just not
    going to work?

So no other ideas on how to get files to show up as they are tagged? I have tried everything suggested above and nothing changes the artist name.

    Hello.

I am in the same situation. I deleted the album whose tags I want to change from the loop, changed the tag of [Album Artist] ("BUMP OF CHICKEN; HATSUNE MIKU" → "BUMP OF CHICKEN") and uploaded it to loop again, but the same tag information as before is reflected on the loop. Perhaps it was not reflected properly because tag change was small. When I actually change tag of [Album Name] and [Album Artist] and re-upload it, the tag was reflected well.

In order to solve this problem, I think that it is necessary to completely delete the cache of the album remaining in the loop, but is there any way?

Without that method, I think that I only have to wait for the tag editing function on the loop to be implemented, but will this be realized?
