Updating Metadata

#1

I am in the process of correcting the metadata in my music collection. The incorrect metadata is why I will see duplicate albums in Loop because - even though they are the same album - they have different catalog IDs, for example.

If I upload the newly corrected files, will LOOP overwrite the existing file or will it create a new file that reflects the corrected data? And if it does show different files (original and corrected), what is the best way to wipe my LOOP account so I can reupload?

Hey blakekuehn
yes, LOOP will create new files that reflects the correct data.
You can just simply delete files with wrong metadata from LOOP (by selecting + delete), and reupload the new ones.

Feel free to ask any questions you have!

Thanks that totally worked. But now I have a new issue. Something compelled me to completely uninstall it from my Macbook (running most recent El Capitan). When I reinstalled Vox, I can no longer sign in to Loop - either during set up or by going to 'preferences.' I click on the 'sign in' button and it does nothing. I used AppCleaner to do a complete uninstall.

Get version 2.6.5 from AppStore, the 2.7.3 one (latest downloadable version for Mac) has a bug that prevents it from starting (and thus logging in to) Loop.
